In a speech at the Pittsburgh headquarters of the United Steelworkers, President Joe Biden pledged on Wednesday to keep U.S. Steel U.S. owned.
Biden’s visit came after months of discussion about Japan-based Nippon buying out U.S. Steel.
Several protests ensued outside of the building ahead and after Biden’s arrival.
Pro-Palestine groups chanted phrases such as “Gaza must food and water,” “Genocide Joe has got to go,” “14 billion h*ll no, Joe Biden has got to go,” and “Say it loud, shake the ground, end the siege on Gaza now.”
