– Why did you join The Globe?
Well, when I was a freshman I went to one of the pitch meetings and took my first story. Although it was a bit intimidating at first, I had a wonderful experience. So, this past year I decided to apply for a staff position at The Globe and I knew a few other members on staff who were fantastic people!
– How did you hear about The Globe?
I heard about The Globe before even starting my first day from freshman orientation. Also a lot of my journalism professors mentioned what great experience it was and I decided to look into writing for the newspaper.
– Why did you choose Point Park?
I loved Point Park's campus and being located in the Downtown Pittsburgh area. It is a great city and the University offers a lot of opportunities.
– What do you like the most about a The Globe's features section?
I have had the opportunity to speak with and meet some really inspiring and interesting people. I love what I get to do in features and have learned a lot from each story I write. Since a lot of students at Point Park accomplish great things and the area around Downtown has a lot of events always happening… The features section always has fun and exciting stories to cover.
– What is your favorite memory of your time at The Globe?
I don't have one particular favorite moment while being at The Globe. But since a lot time is spent in the newsroom we all become pretty good friends. The conversations are always interesting and the people are great! Everyone puts in a lot of hard work to get the newspaper out and there is a lot of personality happening along the way…
