Happy week 15, Pioneers! It is hard to believe that next week is finals week. We wish you all the best of luck on your final exams and projects. Remember to take extra good care of yourself these next two weeks. Take breaks during your study and work sessions to move, hydrate and eat. You got this!
Seniors, it is also crazy to think that this may be the last time you ever take an exam. Remember to try to live in the moment as much as possible, as cliche as that is. These last few moments are going to fly by. It is also imperative to take a step back and look at all that you have accomplished. Getting a college degree is not easy whatsoever. They do not just hand out diplomas to anyone. Looking back on all the happy and stressful memories over these last four years can help propel you into your future and prepare you to take on the world. Make an effort to attend graduation. You deserve to celebrate all of your amazing accomplishments.
Do not beat yourself up if you do not have an internship or a job lined up. The job market is literally set up for as few entry-level jobs as possible. Again, to be cliche but true, everything good takes time and everything happens for a reason. Do not get caught up in all the rejection emails or radio silence from employers. Use that as fuel to land the next job.
For everyone else, completing another year of college is an amazing accomplishment as well. Take the time to reflect on this past year too. Look at how you want to approach the next academic year, but also take time to relax. For many of us, summer is internship and work time. Still, let yourself enjoy little moments to regain the energy and passion for the fall. You cannot run on an empty tank, so please take care of yourself this summer.
We will see you in the fall, Pioneers!
Have a great summer!
