After serving as acting chief of Pittsburgh Police since Nov. 1, 2024, Christopher Ragland was nominated by Mayor Ed Gainey to serve as the next chief of police.

Each year, Black History Month, which is every February, is celebrated at Point Park. The Black Student Union (BSU) held its second annual “Black Jamboree” as the first in a series of events to celebrate the month. 

After finishing up the last three books, it’s time to continue on with the rest of the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series. 

“During the darkest days of the AIDS crisis, we buried our friends in the morning, we protested in the afternoon, and we danced all night,” Dan Savage said. 

Point Park’s track and field traveled to State College to participate in the Sykes & Sabock Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Penn State University. Both teams led successful events, with multiple athletes breaching school records and placing in the top 10 of their respective events.
