How do I get everything done before the end of the semester? What do I prioritize in my work load? How can I get the most out of my time? What is the best way for me to study? How much time should I take for myself? How can I make time for fun things when my schedule is overloaded?
I want to start by apologizing for missing last week, I had to take some time for personal matters. But it goes along really well with the amazing questions for this week.
The first thing that should be discussed is the importance of taking care of yourself during a busy time. If you are not making a priority of your physical and mental health, it will only make achieving your goals a lot harder.
Getting all of your work done requires good time management and knowing effective skills for keeping yourself on topic. First, make a list of what you need to do and make note of the difficulty level. Then, once you have the list, add the deadlines for each task.
After that, I like to start with something harder that will take a little more time. For me, I need to take breaks from topics to be able to give them my full attention. I have learned that getting proper rest and nourishment makes it easier for me to get things done.
Sometimes, when I take breaks from one topic, I work on a different one to keep myself on top of assignments while not overloading myself on too much of one topic.
There are some chores, like laundry, that you can do while working on a different task. Some of my friends like to block out their day because they enjoy a more precise schedule.
Study methods can vary by person. For me, I study best by incorporating what I am learning into something that I enjoy doing. Some people I know prefer to sit down in a distraction-free place and make study guides or flash cards. Your ability to focus for long periods of time is the best indicator of what will work best for you.
Making time for fun activities and enjoyable endeavors can be challenging during a time when you are overloaded with work. But if you make sure to manage your time, and schedule wisely enough, you can make time for it.
I personally recommend scheduling some free time during the day to make sure you do something that brings you joy. Having fun and taking care of yourself may take time out of your work, but if you do not, you will lose the drive to do your work. It might be difficult to have fun right now, and times might be stressful, but soon enough, the work will be worth it, and you will be enjoying the summer.
