When someone thinks of college, they would normally not think of the word “camping” to go along with it. However, this weekend, the office of Student Life services hosted its seventh annual Pioneer Adventure Weekend (PAW), which was organized by Maria Ochoa, director of resident life.

Pittsburgh Police responded to reports of shots fired on Boulevard of the Allies early Monday morning and found a car outside Genoa Pizza and Bar at 109 Market St. with multiple bullet holes.

Adele Morelli, owner of Boutique La Passerelle (BLP) on Wood Street, passed away from “complications of an unexpected illness while on a buying trip in Portugal on Sept. 21, 2024, the day before her 56 birthday,” according to her obituary.

In my three years at Point Park, I’ve heard numerous rumors about the Mon Wharf. Students will say that unhoused people stay down there, people overdose and do drugs down there, people vandalize the parking lot and will beat you up if you see them, people use the bathroom in the Wharf, and the best of every allegation, you may be robbed or assaulted in the wharf.
