My final week of reviews has finally arrived, and the new releases are somewhat thin. Last week and next week house all of the high profile releases, so I decided to cover a few new releases as well as go back to round up a few I missed earlier in the year.

Pioneer Records shows off student talent at release show

Students showcased their musical talents last Wednesday at Pioneer Records’ Release Show. The 2022 Release Show took place at The Club at Stage AE and featured performances by Cesca Violet, Tupelo and The Kill Caesar Club.

Pioneer Public: Bethany Latham (James The Seventh)

A sophomore public relations and advertising student with a love for music, Bethany Latham, known artistically as James The Seventh, has created a psychedelic musician identity and a body of work to follow the same theme. When an injury stopped Latham from dancing in the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, she turned to music. It was a gift from her dad that encouraged her, after years of considering writing songs, to finally leap into the music scene.
