Globe’s Point: Have a great Thanksgiving break!

Happy last issue before Thanksgiving break, Pioneers! It’s hard to believe that this is already week 12. We are so close to the end of the semester that it is in hand’s reach. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back for all of your hard work.

We hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving break, whether going home or staying in the city, and are here once again to remind you to take care of your mental health. It is called a break for a reason, and we need to treat it as such. While using this time to work on final projects or assignments is tempting, it is important to take care of yourself first. Though Pioneer Pause was only a few weeks ago, having time off, especially this amount of time, is rare and needs to be a time to recharge for the last few weeks of the semester. And let’s be honest, most of us used Pioneer Pause for a homework day anyway.

Whether it is picking up a book or watching some movies that you have been wanting to for months, reconnecting with some friends and family, or simply lying in bed and eating pumpkin pie for a few days, take some time away from your responsibilities and duties and focus on yourself. It is so easy to get drowned in work that it may be hard to find a way out, but it is possible and worth it in the end. Sometimes all we need is to step away for a little bit to gain new insight and make our work even better, though life is not all about work. This break is the perfect time to work on that work-life balance.

We wish you all safe travels, for those who are traveling, and a great and restful Thanksgiving break. You got this, Pioneers!
