With students anxiously awaiting their return to campus in less than two weeks Point Park University housekeeping staff has been working to make sure facilities are disinfected and safe for the start of the Fall 2020 semester. Classrooms are being disinfected with electrostatic sprayers filled with Clorox 360 twice a week and being wiped down four times a day along with regular overnight cleaning. Entryways, elevators, lounge areas and bathrooms are being disinfected three times a day. Director of Housekeeping Andrew Carter said his staff is going above and beyond to ensure a safe return for students, disinfecting the campus twice as many times as CDC guidelines call for, which requires areas to be disinfected twice daily.
