Last Wednesday, ARAMARK Higher Education, Point Park University’s food service distributor, announced that Jason Hibshman will no longer be working as the university’s food service director.Jerry Mullen C.E.C., the district manager of the mid-Atlantic region for ARAMARK Higher Education, is now working as Hibshman’s temporary replacement.Mullen said that some of the changes Hibshman planned on implementing will still occur, but not until next spring. One of those changes is a made-to-order section in the Point Cafe.“We will provide the best food to our students on campus,” Mullen said last Friday in his office. “That’s our goal.”Mullen oversaw the operations at Point Park while Hibshman served as food service director.Last July, Hibshman arrived as an interim food service director, according to an article previously published in The Globe last fall. Hibshman previously worked as the assistant food director at Point Park from 2003 to 2006. He continued to work in various regional positions for ARAMARK over the last six years, including in his position as food service director at Point Park.
