Recently, a temporary nurse replaced Nurse Jeanne Beveridge who cared for Point Park University students for the past decade.“The university routinely assess its contracted services and makes adjustments to these relationships as necessary,” Dean of Students Keith Paylo said last Friday in his office. “In the case of our health services contract, we are working with that provider to receive appropriate, professional services as per that agreement.”The health services provider that Point Park contracts is Concentra. According to the company’s website, Concentra is a “subsidiary of Humana Inc.,” and it is a national health care provider.A temporary nurse is in place until a replacement is found, which should occur in the next few weeks.“We are confident that we will be able to continue to deliver high quality health services to our students and campus community as we transition to new personnel in that area,” Paylo said.
