Globe’s Point: Welcome Back, Pioneers

Welcome back Pioneers! We sincerely hope that everyone had a great break and was able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. Now that we’re back, we wanted to take some time to wish everybody good luck with the rest of the semester, and to remind you that what you’re doing is important.

It can be very easy to doubt yourself and your accomplishments, especially during the back half of the semester. Coursework can feel less rewarding and more repetitive, and the general day-to-day can feel like a blurry slog. Remember that your professors are here to help you learn, and if you’re struggling, you are not alone.

On top of general stress, for graduating seniors, the question of what comes next is no doubt a big one. Post-college life seems scary as a concept to everyone, and coming up on graduation can make all of that feel even scarier. Now, more than ever, is an important time to remind yourself that graduating from college is a huge accomplishment. That is something that should be celebrated, and you deserve to remind yourself of your accomplishments.

The back half of this semester will no doubt be stressful for everyone – that’s the nature of life. That being said, remember to enjoy it and make the most out of it. As Ferris Bueller once said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
