Drug Violation:
A man was arrested and cited on Third Avenue on Sept. 22 at 2:16 p.m. for having “drug paraphernalia,” according to Police Chief Jeffery Besong.
Bike Stolen:
A man is at-large for stealing a bike from Academic Hall on Sept. 24 at 1:15 p.m.
Point Park police described the perpetrator as a black male who appeared to be in his 20s wearing a purple hoodie and purple face mask.
Besong said the man sat on the bike, cut its lock from Academic Hall’s bike rack, and then rode it down to the intersection of Smithfield Street and Forbes Avenue. After he passed Smithfield Street, Besong said, the man disappeared from Point Park’s cameras.
Drug Overdose:
A man overdosed on Third Avenue on Sept. 25 at 3:20 p.m.
The man had stopped breathing, so Point Park police administered Narcan and resuscitated him. He was given a verbal warning and driven in an ambulance to an unspecified hospital.
Drug Paraphernalia:
A man was cited on Third Avenue on Sept. 25 at 5:19 for possessing a crack pipe, according to Besong.
Drugs, Weapon:
A woman on Third Avenue was taken to Allegheny County Jail after Point Park police arrested her on Sept. 26 at 2:20 p.m.
Besong said the woman had stamp bags of cocaine, knives and a loaded gun, which police confiscated after her arrest.
Alcohol Violation:
Public Safety referred a student to Student Life for an alcohol violation on Sept. 27 at 2:29 a.m. outside of Pioneer Hall.
Drug Paraphernalia #2:
Point Park Police cited a man on Third Avenue for possessing crack cocaine on Sept. 27 at 9:32 a.m.
