Drug Arrest #1:
Point Park police arrested a man “engaged in the use of crack cocaine” on Third Avenue at 8:33 a.m. on Oct. 2, according to Chief Jeff Besong in an emailed statement.
Besong said the man had an outstanding bench warrant for failing to appear in court on prior narcotics charges, which campus police had issued him. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail and no further charges were noted.
Drug Arrest #2:
Point Park police arrested another man “engaged in the use of crack cocaine” on Third Avenue at 12:53 p.m. on Oct. 3, Besong said.
This man also had an outstanding warrant, this time issued by the Pennsylvania Parole Board. Point Park police took him to Allegheny County Jail, and no additional charges were noted.
Bike Theft:
An individual is at-large for stealing a wheel off of a bike on a rack along Third Avenue at 11:26 p.m. on Oct. 3.
Point Park police did not issue any description of the perpetrator’s sex or race, but did note the suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans.
