After they were unable to access campus for a routine inspection, Peoples Gas posted three-day shut-off notices on the doors of Boulevard Apartments and the Student Center.
A Peoples spokesperson said workers with the company were on campus to conduct interior service line leak surveys in Point Park’s buildings, as required by state and federal regulations.
Lou Corsaro, a university spokesperson, told The Globe the notices are a routine issue, and clarified they were not related to any outstanding balance owed by Point Park to Peoples Gas.
“When [Peoples employees] can’t get access [to campus], they sometimes just slap one of those notes on the door,” Corsaro said in an emailed statement.
Both spokespeople said the notices were not cause for concern.
