Track and field continues to make history

Point Park’s track and field traveled to State College to participate in the Sykes & Sabock Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Penn State University. Both teams led successful events, with multiple athletes breaching school records and placing in the top 10 of their respective events. 
The cheer team concludes its first competition in Erie on Sunday.

Indoor track and field closes successful meet

On Saturday, Point Park’s track and field teams came back successful, with students placing in the meet and joining the ranks of school record-holders. Both men and women participated in the Jud Logan Memorial Meet held in Kent, Ohio, at Kent State University.

Men’s basketball edges past WVSU

In their first game at home since winter break, the Pioneers played West Virginia State on Jan. 11, at the CCAC-Allegheny gym where they won by one point with a final score of 76-75.

Women’s basketball secures MEC win

Point Park women’s basketball defeated West Virginia State 76-65 on Saturday to earn its first home Mountain East Conference win in the CCAC-Allegheny Gymnasium.

Senior Nazareth Fisher made history on Tuesday, Nov. 26, when he tied the Mountain East Conference single-game rebound record. His 14-point, 25-rebound performance awarded him MEC Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week honors.
